Source methodology
Etat civil birth registrations in France (metropolitan France and overseas departments) for births in 2020. Insee publishes counts rounded to the nearest multiple of five and computes rank from unrounded counts, so publisher rank is authoritative and is not re-derived from the rounded counts. Names given fewer than three times are omitted by the publisher. All-uppercase source spellings are deterministically converted to Unicode title case while preserving accents and hyphens. The first 50 publisher ranks per category are retained.
